Professor Xavier's first class has graduated, and is now serving as faculty for the new round of students coming in. Mutants are still a thing of rumors and urban legends...the human race isn't quite ready to openly accept that a new species is flourishing among them...

Orientation is about to being at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning...will you make it on time?

X-Men essay anthology
Hey guys-- I just wanted to recommend an X-Men related book that the small press I'm working for has published. It's titled The Unauthorized X-Men, and it's a collection of scholarly (and humorous!) essays on the X-Men in all their incarnations (film, TV, comic, etc.) X-Men villain specific ones include two on Magneto-- "Magneto the Jew", and "Magneto Attracts". You can see full essay previews of the book here: http://smartpopbooks.com/allbooks/index.html#X-Men

Thanks for letting me pop in and hope you enjoy!

Toad fan art on DeviantArt? i lost it, help me!
i hate not being able to search DA just because i'm not a paying member. especially when i NEED to cause i lost a piece of art by someone, especially on a puny dial-up... i decided to go in and save all my faves, looking for a particular one. well, it wasn't there.

it's fan art of Toad from X-men. this artist draws him a lot. the 2 images i remember are of toad with a girl (her character, i think). in one they have just kissed and there is a bit of spittle still between their lips (all her commenters flipped about the nasty spit but i thought it was realistic, spit happens when you kiss!), in the other he is freaking her out with his tongue snaking up her clothes.

any one know? i hate it when i lose favorite pieces of artwork.

Dancing X-villains!

No doubt inspired by that old Konami arcade game. I haven't been able to make my copy work yet, but those are sprites from it, and I believe Pyro really does say "Pyro will turn you to toast!" in the game...

Hi there.
I just recently joined this community. The truth is, I can't find a decent X-Men community so I went here instead. This one's all about the comic book, it's neat and I guess I might just find out a lot of things from you people that I may not even be aware of.

Okay. I'd like to start off by listing my favorite X-Villains.

1. Magneto - Magnus
2. Cassandra Nova
3. Apocalypse - En Sabah Nur
4. Sabretooth - Victor Creed
5. Stryfe - Nathan Christopher Charles Summers
6. Onslaught (Psionic Spawn of Xavier and Magneto)
7. Reverend William Stryker
8. Black Tom - Thomas Samuel Eamon Cassidy
8. Lady Deathstrike - Yuriko Oyama
9. Exodus - Bennet du Paris
10. Mr. Sinister - Nathaniel Essex

Well, I'm really frigging bored. Tell me if you think characters (and I'm specifically thinking X-villains here, natch) should come back from the dead or not. Would you be pissed if, say, Apocalypse came back? Happy to see Pyro? Secretly glad to see Stryfe, even if afraid to admit it?

I heard funky rumours about House of MCollapse )

Who do you feel is...
The most unsung X villain. In terms of untapped potential based on powers?
Seemingly lame imitation of Dazzler.
Instead she changes tactics from aiming
at people to direct it just in the flesh.

You know you love them...
For those not checking out Exiles #50-51, why not? ;) It's got Brotherhood goodness.

See the preview for #51 (the crazy cover and the first four pages):

Avalanche issues
Hey! I'm working towards compiling a list of every issue Avalanche has been in. It is my goal to someday own them all -- we'll see, though. For now I just want to see how big the list is. *grin*

Here's what I have so far. If any of you happen to know of an issue I'm missing on this list, please let me know!

First time poster...
Hey there. Nice to see this little spot on my random walks trough random intrests.

My all time favorite X-Villain (and favorite X-Character in general) is Mastermind. The original, not the two that came after him that were apparently new and improved because they were hot chicks.

Reasons for liking the original mutant master of illusions are simple, but I still get odd looks when I tell people that he's my favorite. I like him because he's smart. His power is simple, it won't blow holes through mountains or kill you in five seconds. He's admittidly scrawny and weak in physical power and he's not going to be wining any mutant beauty contests....

...But he's smart. What I love about him is that he'll set things up in such a way that unless he wants you to know what's going on, you ten to one won't. He's a wonderful example of how a relativly low powered mutant can be a deadly threat. If written correctly, Mastermind could concievably defeat the X-Men without the aid of any other villains simply because he knows the best way to do things is with long time planning and deviding the power of your opponet.

So yeah. Glad to be here and hope to have many good discussions.

Answer to Killing Frost's QuestionCollapse )

ETA: Hm, this community needs discussion. Crazy active discussion. And one day, I should probably advertise this place, too. But until then, I'll try to think of something interesting to say.

Okay. So, I finally got around to buying the last couple issues of Ultimate X-Men (I don't, however, have the latest one). Anyway, Mr. Sinister has just made his Ultimate appearance and... am I the only one who finds it really, really amusing? He makes me giggle every time I see him in his ghetto-glory.

Yeah, there was no point in saying that.

For Killing Frost...
Since you disallowed comments on your first post, I just wanted to say that my site is not Pyro-specific, but there's a fair amount of stuff on him in it. So you may be interested if you haven't seen it :)

In other news, go Unus go! Y'all might want to check out Excalibur #1 for some classic X-villain goodness...(spoilers)

Hi I'm new, obviously. My fave X-villians have to be Pyro and Mr. Sinister. Havne't found that many sites on either of them unfortunetly. Thinking about making a site dedicated to just the villians, preferably those two.
